1 month off driving
What are the rules with regards to driving and multiple TIAs?
3 months off driving
What are the rules with regards to driving and craniotomy?
1 year
What are the rules with regards to driving and narcolepsy/cataplexy?
Cease driving on diagnosis.
Restart with satisfactory control.
What are the rules with regards to driving and chronic neurological conditions (e.g. MS, MND)?
- Inform the DVLA
- Complete PK1 form
What are the rules with regards to driving and simple faints?
No restriction
What are the rules with regards to driving and a single episode of explained and treated syncope?
4 weeks off driving.
What are the rules with regards to driving and unexplained syncope?
6 months off driving.
What are the rules with regards to driving and two or more episodes of syncope?
12 months off
