Are irregular and complex time signatures the same thing?
Technically, yes.

What are the different types of beats/pulses in found in a song?
- Definite
- Indefinite
- Weak
- Strong
- Beat emphasis
What is a definite beat?
You can hear the beat clearly.
What is an indefinite beat?
You can’t hear the beat clearly.
What is a weak beat?
Doesn’t fill all the beats.
What is a strong beat?
Something played every or almost every beat.

- You can comment on changes of tempo throughout the piece.
- Slow/medium/fast tempo.
