What are the common examination findings?

A

Key is in the history:

Elongated bleeding, heavy with common changing

Pale conjunctiva

No palpalpable abdo masses

No cervical excitation

No adnexal tenderness

Cusco speculum shows signs of blood but sims speculum normal

Normal anterverted uterus (may have parous uterus if previous birth)

What are the investigations?

A

Report back with SSPMT

To finish the exam i would like to an abdomial exam and also do the smears and swabs if not already done

By the bed - History, obs

Bloods - FBC (Anaemia) and TFTs

US not neccasary as no lumps felt

If >40 outpatient endometrial biopsy

A

May be anaemic but the rest will be normal

What is the treatment?

A

Conservative - Exaplain what it is and that it isnt a pathology

Medical - Coil, mifinemic acid, COCP

Surgical - Endometrial ablation or hysterectomy
