State some benefits of dua
- Best act of worship

- To make dua is obeying Allah swt

- The reward of dua is guaranteed

State the adab of dua
- Abstain from haram food, drink, clothing
- Abstain from haram income
- Be sincere in what you ask for
- Attempt a good deed before making dua
- Confess to ones ins
- Be in the state of wudhu
- Face the qiblah
- Sit in the qa’idah position
- Praise Allah (swt) before and after
- Send durood upon the Hol Prophet (saw)
- Make dua through Allah’s (swt) beautiful names
- Begin by making dua for yourself, parens, ummah
- Do not ask for anything that involves sin
- Do not be impatient, asking that the dua be answered immediately.
State the moments in which Dua is accepted
- While the adhan is in progress
- The period between adhan and the iqamah
- After Fardh salah
- After the recitation of the Quran
- After completion of the Quran
- While drinking the water of Zam Zam
- When there is a gathering
- When it rains
- Whenever a person sees the Kabah
- In the gathering of dhikr
State the special moments when Dua is accepted
- On the nigh of Laylatul Qadr
- On the Day of Arafah
- During the month of Ramadan
- On the eve of Friday
- During the entirity of Friday
- During the final portion of the night
- At the time of suhoor
State the places where Dua is accepted
- At the blessed grave of the Holy Prophet (saw)
- Mataf(circuit) where tawaf of Kabha takes place
- Multazam (between Black stone and door of Kabah)
- Under the Mizab (water spout) of Kabah
- Inside the Kabah
- At the well of Zam Zam
- On the mounts of Safah and Marwa
- In the area where pilgrims walk between safah and marwa
- Behind the Maqam Ibrahim
- In the plain of Arafah
- In Muzdalifah
- In Mina
- At the Jamarat where the Shaytaan are pelted
State the people whose duas are accepted
- A poor person
- An opressed person (even if non-believer)
- Parents dua for children
- The dua of a just ruler
- The dua of a righteous person
- Dua of children who are kind and obedient to their parents
- Dua of a traveller ( >48 miles)
- Dua of a fasting person at the time of breaking their fast
- A Muslims dua for another in their absence
- A pligrims dua until they return home
االلّهُمَ بِاسمِكَ امُوتُ وَ اَحي
“Oh Allah, by your name I die and I live”
At the time of sleeping
اَلحَمدُلِِلهِ الَّذِى اَحيَانَا بَعدَمَا اَمَاتَنَا وَ اِلَيهِ النُّشُورُ
“Praise be to Allah, Who gave us life after having given us death and to Him is our final return”
Upon waking up
اَللّهُمَّ اِنِّى أَعُوذُبِكَ مِنَ الخُبُثِ وَ الخَبَآئِثِ
“Oh Allah, I seek your protection from the male and female demons”
When entering the toilet
غُفرَانَكَ اَلحَمدُ للهِ الَّذى أَذحَبَ عَنِّى الاَذى وَعَافَانِى
“Oh Allah, I seek your forgiveness, praise be to Allah, Who relieved me of discomfort and granted me comfort”
After leaving the toilet
اَللّهُمَّ اغفِر لِى ذَنبِى وَ وَسِّع لِى فِى دَارِى وَ بَارِك لِي فِى رِزقِى
“Oh Allah, forgive my sins, make spacious my home and bless my sustenance”
Before beginning wudhu
اَللّهُمَ اجعَلَنِى مِنَ التَّوَّا بِينَ وَاجعَلنِى مِنَ المُتَطَهِّرِينَ
(Second Kalimah)+…
“Oh Allah, make me of those who repent and those who maintain purity”
After completing wudhu
اَللّهُمَ رَبَّ هذِهِ الدَّعوَةِ التّآمّةِ وَ الصَّلَاةِ القَائِمَةِ اتِ مُحَمَّدَا (نِ) الوَسِيلَةَ وَ الفَضِيلَةَ وَ ابعَثهُ مَقَامًامَّحمُودَا (نِ) الَّذِي وَ عَدتَّه
“Oh Allah, Lord of this perfect call and established Salah, grant Muhammad a place near You, an excellence and exalted degree, and raise him to the praiseworthy station that you have promised him.”
After hearing the adhan
اللّهُمَّ افتَح لِي أَبوَابَ رَحمَتِكَ
“Oh Allah, open for me the doors of your mercy”
When entering the masjid
اللّهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسأَلُكَ مِن فَضلِكَ
“Oh Allah, I ask of you your favour”
When leaving the masjid
