A
  1. discriminative stimulus (SD) by seeing it you know you will get something
  2. response (correct or incorrect)
  3. prompt (if needed) right after SD is delivered
  4. consequence (reinforcement) right after the response
  5. intertrial interval **the brief pause in between trials (record data)
