What does a psych diagnosis require?

A

Even beyond the complexity of creating treatment plans, determining a diagnosis requires a full-scale clinical examination.Mental disorders result from a complex interplay of biological, psychological, and developmental factors. Diagnostic assessment includes a comprehensive, pluralistic approach to the patient, not simply a mechanical count of symptoms.
