What are the three main body types?

Athletic (mesomorphic):
- muscular/sturdy build
- mid-range ROM
- prominent medodermal (muslce) features
Asthenic (ectomorphic):
- tall and lean
- high ROM
- prominent ectodermal (skin and nervous) features
Pyknic (endomorphic):
- obese
- lower ROM
- prominent endodermal features

What are the main observations made of skin color and what conditions may be assoicated with each?

A
Pale (pallor): may indicate anemia
Red (erythema): inflammation
Yellow (jaundice/icterus): liver disease (elevated bilirubin)
Blue (cyanosis): low blood oxygenation
Black: necrosis

How are skin lesions qualified?
DSA1 S21
A
Asymmetry
Border: irregular; wavy or jagged border clearly defined against skin
Color: uneven; light brown to black
Diameter: >6mm
Evolution: rapid evolution or size, color, or thickness
