- Antidepressants block the action of acetylcholine, one of its functions is to control the function of the GI tract
- Blocking acetylcholine reduces the proportion of mucus and saliva which causes dry mouth and eventually rampant caries

- Nitrates are medicines used to prevent and relieve angina as they’re vasodilators
- The most common type is nitroglycerin - side effect is a headache
