Rifampin Indications and Contraindictions
Indications: treatment of both tuberculosis and meningococcal carriers
Contraindictions:
- hypersensitivity
- patients recieving saquinavir due to hepatocellular toxicity
- patients recieving other anti viral drugs

Warnings:
-Liver dysfunctions (jaundice)

-Caution in diabetes mellitus

MOA:

Contraindictions:
- hypersensitivity
- hepatitis
- hepatic isusses
Black box warning:
-severe and fatal hepatitis can be associated after use

-Nervous system and the liver

- optic neuritits
- report visual side effects or changes of vision

-decreases visual acuity which appear to be due to optic neuritis

-not recomended in patients below 13`

-neurotoxic reactions in patients with impaired renal function
