Mainly blocks 5HT. Many CNS side effects and dose needs to be high for antidepressant use. Mainly used for sleep aid. Can cause priapism (prolonged erection lasting >4hrs)

Venlafaxine (Effexor)
Mildly blocks reuptake of NE, 5HT and dopamine. Used for GAD, SAD, decreases addictive behavior. Has fewer CNS side effects than trazodone-available in sustained release.
