What does the Road traffic act 1988 state?
It is an offence to drive whilst impaired through drugs, regardless of whether or not these drugs are being used legitimately

What are the list of second group drugs that consists of mainly licensed medicines that have a significant liability to be abused and the limits have been set to a higher standard?

What is in place to protect patients who take these drugs therapeutically?
Statutory medical defence
Under what conditions can a statutory medical defence be raised?
-Lawfully prescribed, supplied or purchased OTC for medical or dental purposes and
- taken in accordance with advice given by the prescriber or supplier and in accordance with any accompanying written instructions
DRIVING MUST NOT BE IMPAIRED- IF IT IS, IT”S STILL AN OFFENCE
Can medical conditions cause your driving to be imapired?
Yes- some are notifiable to the DVLA
