-Nicotine
Highly addictive, psychoactive substance
CNS stimulant
-Tar and carbon monoxide
Tar is carcinogenic particulate matter (nicotine paralyzes lung cilia, so they can’t clear it out)
Carbon monoxide is deadly gas that reduces the oxygen-carrying capacity of red blood cells
