Ipatropium

A

SE: CNS- dizziness, nervousness, headache; CV- palpations; GI- N&V; RESP- Bronchospasm, cough, bronchitis, wheezing; EENT- dilated pupils, epistaxis, pharyngitis, nasal congestion; OTHER- weakness, fatigue, malaise, rash
Precautions: not effective for rapid response, avoid caffeine & pregnancy

Methylprednisolone

A

SE: CNS- euphoria, headache, mental changes, restlessness, nervousness; CV- hypertension, CHF, Edema; GI- pancreatitis, ulcers; IMMUNE- immuno suppression; META- hypokalemia, hypernatremia, hyperglycemia; MS- weakness, muscular atrophy
Precautions: caution w/ diabetes, don’t mix w/ other meds, sensitive to extreme temps

SE: CNS- nervousness, restlessness, euphoria, headache, sweating, lightheadedness, panic, hallucinations, disorientation, cerebral hemorrhage; CV- palpations, widened pulse pressure, hypertension, tachycardia, V Fib, CVA, angina pain, dysrhythmias; GI- N&V; META- hyperglycemia; OTHER- tissue necrosis if infiltrates, diaphoresis, contact dermatitis, pallor

SE: CNS- sedation, confusion, headache, euphoria, seizures (in high doses); CV- tachycardia, asystole, bradycardia, hypotension, syncope; GI- dory mouth, N&V; RESP- depression, SKIN- flushing, rash; OTHER- dependence, pain @ injection site
Precautions: Pts w/ COPD, bradycardia, heart blocks, head injury, respiratory depression

Precautions: enters breast milk, don’t use w/ MAO inhibitors, beta blockers block effects
