Renin Inhibitor- directly inhibits renin, leading to decrease plasma renin activity and inhibiting the conversion of angiotensinogen to angiotensin I
-this causes decreased BP, decreased aldosterone release and decreased Na reabsorption 
Absorbed in the GI tract 
metabolized in liver 
excreted in the urine
