Drive System Flashcards
What is the primary function of the drive system?
To transmit torque from the engines to the proprotors. It also provides synchronization of the proprotors, and single engine operation of the proprotor system
An extra idler gear in the left PRGB first stage gear train results in ______
Counter clockwise rotation of the left proprotor
There are __ debris sensors in the PRGB and they are located:
3; air/oil seperator, front of the PRGB, below the air/oil seperator
What provides cooling for the PRGB lubrication system?
Nacelle heat exchangers, airflow through the heat exchangers is provided by nacelle blower driven by the TAGB
How is oil pressure monitored on the PRGB ?
Pressure transducers (oil filter manifold) (input quill housing
How is oil temp monitored on the PRGB?
Transducer and oil temp switch
When will the Emergency Lubrication System (ELS) come on? How long does it last? When will it turn off?
When PRGB oil pressure drops below 30 psi. It provides 30 minutes of lubrication. Can turn back off if psi reaches 35.
The TAGB consists of ____ section and _____ section
Bevel; accessory
Bevel section changes angle of drive
What components are mounted and driven by the TAGB accessory section? (5)
- VFG no. 3 (left TAGB) CFG no.2 (right)
- Gearbox oil pump
- Dual stage oil filter assembly (3 stage on the right)
- Hyd pump (1 on left TAGB) (2 on right)
- Nacelle blower driveshaft
On the MWGB at ___Nr or greater the ICDS power the midwing gearbox and the APU is engaged
84% Nr
The ICDS WARNING will post in the event of what other than an actual ICDS failure?
Triple Nr sensor failure on one side
