What is your ABA briefing for land evac?
Are you willing and able to assist in this emergency?
When the aircraft comes to a complete stop and you hear the cabin crew yell ‘evacuate evacuate’
Go to this exit.
If I operate this exit wait until you hear me yell ‘come thins way, jump and slide’ before sliding down the slide and assisting passengers to move away from the aircraft.
If I am unable to operate this exit. You will need to unfasten my seatbelt and relocate me to this row.
You can ask for assistance from others to do this.
You will need to check outside conditions for fire, smoke or any obstructions. If the exit is blocked, redirect passengers.
If the conditions are clear, hold onto the assist handle and lift this handle upwards.
The exit will open and the slide will inflate. If the slide does not inflate, pull the red manual inflation handle.
Wait for the slide to inflate before telling passengers to ‘come this way, jump and slide’
Ask the first passenger to assist at the bottom.
What is your ABA briefing for ditching evac?
Are you willing and able to assist in this emergency?

Inflate your jacket as you jump into the water.
If I am unable to operate this exit. You will need to unfasten my seatbelt and Relocate me to this row. You may ask for assistance from others to do this.
You will need to check outside conditions for fire, smoke, high water levels or any obstructions. If the exit is blocked, redirect passengers to the nearest useable exit.
If the conditions are clear, you will need to hold onto this handle and lift this handle upwards.
The exit will open and the slide will automatically inflate, if the slide does not inflate, pull the red manual inflation handle.
Wait for the slide to inflate.
You will then need to disconnect the slide by pulling back the flap and pulling the release handle.
Wait for the slide to disconnect before telling passengers to ‘ come this way, jump and pull’
Ask the first passenger to assist by directing others away from the aircraft.
What is your ABA briefing for owe?

When the aircraft comes to a complete stop and the crew command ‘evacuate evacuate’
You will need to check outside conditions for fire, smoke, high water levels or any obstructions.
If the exit is blocked redirect pac to the nearest useable exit.
If the conditions are clear, you will need to remove the cover pull down the handle, turn the exit inwards abd on its side. Throw the exit outside.
You will then need to step through the opening onto the wing and direct passengers to move well away from the aircraft.
The exit weighs 17.5kg and there is more information in your blue exit safety card.

What must you do after a TEST briefing? Yu
Repeat back to pilots
CC1 to brief CC2 and CC2 to repeat it back to CC1
How do you leave the FD door before TEST briefing? - prepared
Open and secure

Pax PA
What must be done before the pax pa?
Lighting must be turned to bright
Where will cc be while pilot makes PA ?
At there stations and cc1 will make pax pa and demonstrate brace and exits etc
What happens after pax pa?
- Cc will make sure the doors are armed and unobstructed
- brief ABA’s
- secure galley and cabin
How will you inform pilot that the checklist is complete?
Inform PIC face to face that the checklist is complete
What will you do after briefing the owe fir prepared evac ?
Remove the covers

Rear exits

This Exit is not to be used in this emergency
If I am unable to block this exit, you will have to unfasten my seatbelt and relocate me to the last row of seats.
Ask for assistance from other passengers to do this
You need to stand infront of the door and direct passengers to use the front exits
What must you always ask ABAs after briefing them?
Ask them to repeat an instruction
How do cc commence cabin checks and what happens next?
Start at the centre of the cabin and work towards station and then inform PIC fade to face “the checklist is complete”
What will you ask the PIC after stating checklist complete?
Ask to turn on emergency lighting
Primary fire fighter role?
- establish location and source of fire
- alert another cc member
- collect fire fighting equipment
- fight fire immediately
Communicator/ assist role?
- Initial contact w Flight Deck
- obtain and Standby w Additional equipment
- monitor the fire and primary fire fighter
- manage and oversee the emergency
- follow up contact w the flight deck
What do you communicate to the FD for initial contact?
- location of fire
- source
- colour density of fire/smoke
- severity of fire
- type of fire
- cc actions
Obtain and standby w additional equipment ?
- collect PBE, BCF’s, fire gloves, water, receptacle or tray
Monitor the fire and primary fire fighter?
- fit PBE if required and be prepared to relieve primary fire fighter
- ask primary if they need help
Manage and oversee the emergency?
- move oxygen bottles away from the fire (if required)
- instruct passengers to stay low and breathe through their clothes
- calm and reassure Pax
- move pax to safe location
Follow up contact w the fd?
- status of situation
- effect on pax and crew
- effect on aircraft
- number of bcfs used
- continue to monitor
