What shall be worn while drilling?

Full bunkers and SCBA.

Bundles must always be made from which type of hose? How long is each bundle and what can it not contain?

Bundles must be made from rolled hose. Each bundle is 6’6” without dutchmans.

What must be donned by any person riding in a jump seat to a dire or drill?

Must wear full PPE and SCBA prior to getting OFF the apparatus.

When dumping bundles for later use, where and how should they be placed?

They should be placed 6’ to right or left of tailboard at a 45 degree angle, and at least 2’ apart.

What must you do when connecting a storz fitting?

Twist the hose counter-clockwise at least 1/2 turn before coupling together. Prevents couplings from disconnecting when charged.

How fast are you permitted to go while laying supply hose? And if crossing the street where do you do it?

7-10 MPH and cross the street at or near the scene to allow other apparatus access to the scene.

When should the hose strap be used to anchor and when should it not be used on a hose lay?

The hose strap may be used as an anchor for blind alley lays, however it must be wrapped on foreward lays.
