Q

the lucky country

A

The person who wrote this wanted to figure out why australia is called “the lucky country”. The problems that he found was to be careful when swimming, stay out of the sun, an anrea in sydney with a lot of drugs. The last but biggest problem was how bad the aborigines were treated.
In 1965 they were only allowed to keep half of the money they earned - the rest went into a bank account by the police.
In 1969 aboriginal kids were taken from their parents to grow up in white foster homes.
The aborigines got the right to vote in 1967.
