Auditorium
The part of the theatre in which the audience sits to watch the performance
Backdrop
The painted piece of material hung at the back of the stage as a backround
Dialogues
Conversations between characters in a play
Stage directions
The parts of the script in a play that tell the actors how they are re to move or speak their lines
Climax
The most dramatic and exciting moment or event in a play
Minor
This describes characters who play smaller parts in a play
Gesture
A small but meaningful movement made by an actor that conveys emotion without words
Suspense
The feeling of excitement,fear or worry that something unexpected,frightening or strange is about to happen
A sub plot
A separate story thar runs parallel to the main story
Cliffhanger
A dramatic and exciting ending to a scene, leaving the audience in suspense about what might happen next
Conflict
The struggle,fight or disagreement between characters or a character and the world in which he/she lives
twist
An unexpected turn of events in a play
Narrative
Another word for the storyline or plot
Contrast
A striking difference between two elements-characters,costumes,places etc. Which is used for dramatic effect
Contemporary
Classical drama is from he past, contemporary is used for drama set in the present day (modern)
