What is a Greek Chorus?
A Greek Chorus is a group of actors within a performance who narrate, comment on/ describe the action of the play to the audience.
Vocal Cannon
Saying something one… after… the… other…You could:
Repeat the sentence one after the other
Say each word one after the other
Echo
Repeating something someone has said. The echo can change. For example, the repeated words volume might get quieter… or LOUDER. Or the tone could change - It could get angrier, and angrier and angrier!
Physical Cannon
Moving something one… after… the… other…
You could:
Repeat a gesture / action
Physically move around the space one after the other
Formation
The position of the chorus e.g. an inverted ”V” or all actors standing in a vertical line in height order.
Transition
The way the chorus enters, exits, moves from line to line or section to section.
