An act is a combination of scenes with a similar theme or part of the story line.

A
A collection of dialogue set in the same space.

How do you identity who the characters are?
A
The characters name is off to the left side of the page, generally in capital letters or bold.

What is dialogue?
A
The words and phrases a character says.

What are stage directions, and how do you identify them.
A
Stage directions are there to tell the actor or actress what to physically do. Like walk across the room. They are generally in italics.
