When all people at all times have access to safe, nutritious, + culturally appropriate foods that meet dietary + nutritional needs, through local and non-emergency services.
Food citizenship
The practice of encouraging food-related behaviours that supports the development of democratic, socially, + economically just + environmentally sustainable food systems.
- In order for food sovereignty to be achieved, consumer activism is required.
Food sovereignty
The right of all people to healthy + culturally appropriate food produced through ecologically sound + sustainable methods, and their right to define their own food + agricultural systems.
