AMIODARONE
ADULT:
- 300mg in 6ml IV/IO once only

- dilute 1.2mg/1ml with 11ml saline for 1.2mg\12ml (100mcg/ml)

- MAX SINGLE DOSE: 1000mg

- MAX DAILY DOSE: 60mg/kg (do not exceed 4000mg)

CARDIAC ARREST
- ADULT:
- 1mg/1ml IV/IO every 3-5/60 - PAEDIATRIC/NEWBORN:
- diltue 1mg in 9ml normal saline (1000mcg in 10ml,
1: 10000)
- 10mcg/kg = 0.1ml/kg every 3-5/60
POST ROSC
- dilute 1mg in 9ml normal saline
- ADULT:
- 50mcg/0.5ml every 3-5/60 as required to
maintain BP >90mmHg - PAED:
- 1mcg/kg every 3-5/60 as required to maintain BP
>80mmHg
- MAX DOSE: 50mcg
ANAPHYLAXIS/LIFE-THREATENING ASTHMA
- ADULT:
- 0.5mg IM into lateral thigh
- repeat every 5/60 as required - PREG FEMALE+ANAPHYLAXIS:
- 0.3mg
- repeat every 5/60 as required - PAED:
- 0.01mg/kg
- repeat every 5/60 as required
CROUP
- 5mg/5ml nebulised ONCE ONLY
COPHENYCAINE
ADULT:
- IN:
- MAX 10 squirts (5 per nostril)
- TOPICALLY: MAX 5 squirts
- ORAL: 1 spray then pause, repeat if required, MAX 5
sprays
PAED: - IN: - 2-4YO: 1 squirt per nostril - 4-8YO: 2 squirts per nostril - 8-12YO: 3 squirt per nostril - TOPICALLY: MAX 5 squirts - ORAL: 1 spray then pause, repeat if required, MAX 5 sprays
FENTANYL

ADULT:
- 10g (100ml of 10%) IV
- repeat if still hypoglycaemic
- MAX DOSE: 20g
PAED:
- 2.5ml/kg (0.25g/kg or 250mg/kg) up to 10g IV/IO
- repeat dose up to 2.5ml/kg ONCE ONLY
- MAX DOSE; 20g
NEWBORN:
- 2ml/kg (0.2g/kg or 200mg/kg)
- repeat ONCE ONLY, if indicated
GTN
CCP:
- 0.4mg (1 spray)
- repeat if pain persists and BP maintained at 5/60
- should first 3 doses provide some relief but sypmtoms persist, continue at 5/60 if no contraindications
ACPO:
- 0.4mg sublingually
- repeat if pain persists and BP maintained at 5/60
- should first 3 doses provide some relief but sypmtoms persist, continue at 5/60 if no contraindications
AUTONOMIC DYSREFLEXIA:
- 0.4mg sublingually
- repeat every 5/60 until symptoms resolve or BP < 160-mmHg
