What is the definition of Domestic Violence?
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: any use of physical or sexual force, actual or threatened, in an intimate relationship, including emotional/psychological abuse or harassing behavior
What is a dominant aggressor and what is a primary aggressor? What is the difference?
PRIMARY AGGRESSOR: the person who acts or strikes first
DOMINANT AGGRESSOR:
o More accurately defines the individual who has been the principal abuser (not necessarily the person who initiated the violence)

What are 3 case laws that give lawful authority to enter a dwelling house?

o R v. Feeney (Hot pursuit, consent, non-dwelling)

DVRM – Domestic Violence Risk Management form is an investigative tool; a checklist to identify facts to be considered in bail oppositions
What is the definition of a victim under the Canadian Victims Bill of Rights?
VICTIM – s. 2(2) CANADIAN VICTIMS BILL OF RIGHTS
o Means an individual who has suffered physical or emotional harm, property damage or economic loss as the result of the commission or alleged commission of an offence
