What does “Karate wa rei ni hajimari rei ni owaru” mean?
Karate begins and ends with courtesy
Rule 2
In the dojo silence must be maintained, no radio or stereo, no chatting, no smoking, no eating, no drinking and no bad language.
Rule 3
Nobody is allowed to train under the influence of alcohol.
Rule 4
A clean we karate-gi must be worn not more than 1 badge at the from of the gi.
Rule 5
No wrist watches, jewelry or other accessories must be worn.
Rule 6
Fingers and toe nails must be kept short and clean at all times.
Rule 7
Inside the dojo the instructor must always be called Sensei and treated with upmost respect.
Rule 8
The karate-ka must always respect the opponent.
Rule 9
Punctuality at all times is essential
Rule 10
Outside the dojo the karate-ka must never use the techniques he has learnt other than in self defense.
Rule 11
Students must always inform their Sensei if they are to be absent for more than 2 weeks.

Visitors are always welcome, subject to their observing the above rule, where applicable
