expression of ODO1 - first regulatory component peaks in evening, before night scent release. constitutiv expression of PhLHY= complete loss of scent emission, PhLHY binds to ODO1.
RNAi suppression of ODO1 - reduction in all scent emission.
ODO1 suppression also reduces transcript of many FVBP genes, many are upstream suggesting FVBP controls more than just scent emission.
EOB2 is second regulatory component. suppression decreased emission of most volatiles.

FLC silencing maintained until end of annual life in A. thaliana, but if not cold for long enough, FLC can be reactivated, showing memory not wiped.
used HMP data to determine length of memory in perennials which can reverse suppression of FLC after long periods of cold.
