Regeneration- New birth; new life
Grace
Unmerited, undeserved. Receiving what we do not deserve. (grace comes from God; faith is our response to the grace of God)
• Justifying Grace- we are saved from the guilt of sin and restored to the favor of God
• Sanctifying Grace- We are saved from the power and root of sin and restored to the image of God.
Mercy
not receiving what we do deserve
Prevenient Grace
Precedes salvation. Work of Holy Spirit in our hearts before conversion. Spiritual awakening.
Justification
the act of God which changes the relationship between ourselves and him
Legal Definition
declared not guilty
Legal Justification
Deserved judgement; innocent & declared innocent; Guilty/proven guilty
Christian Justification
Declared free, although guilty
Imputed Justification
God now considers us “righteous” (Considers us as..)
Imparted Justification
God now makes us righteous. (Makes me..)

a willful transgression of a known law- (act of the will-rebellion)

Doctrine 9
We believe that continuance in a state of salvation depends upon continued obedient faith in Christ.
Doctrine 10
We believe that it is the privilege of all believers to be wholly sanctified, and that their whole spirit and soul and body may be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Doctrine 11
We believe in the immortality of the soul; in the resurrection of the body; in the general judgment at the end of the world; in the eternal happiness of the righteous; and in the endless punishment of the wicked.
