Was Evil present before the fall? Support with scripture
Yes, evil was present before the fall. In Gen. 2:9 there is reference to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Thus, evil was present. In Genesis 3:1 we learn that the serpent tempted Adam and Eve to sin. He is the symbol for evil. Moreover, we know that the serpent was Lucifer and he was cast out of the realm of the angels because of his sin of pride, self-idolatry and desire to be God (Rev. 12:9).
