When a new product is designed specifically to house or use a technology which has been made available. There may not be a need on the market for this product however.
Technology Push
When there is a need on the market for a new product which solves an issue in society. Designers will then keep this issue in mind when designing the new product.
Market Pull
The group of people who designers will aim their product towards. It is very important to keep these people in mind to make sure they will like the new product.
