How does dna replication occur?

Answer 1

The enzyme DNA helicase breaks the hydrogen bonds between bases on the two polynucleotides. This splits the DNA into two seperate strands whereby free nucleotides with the corresponding bases attach. Condensation reactions join the nucleotides together with hydrogen bonds catalysed by the wnzyme dna polymerase.
