Excellent Gram - coverage and improved Staph coverage. Treats Legionella and Chlamydia atypical pneumonia
Metronidazole (Flagyl)
Kills obligate anaerobes and Protozoans
Nitrofurantoin (Macrodantin)
Kills many urinary pathogens, but NOT Pseudomonas, Klebsiella, Proteus, Serratia, Acinetobacter
