Cephalexin (Keflex)
Cefadroxil
Gram + cocci except enterococci and MRSA
Some Gram - enterics. Not effective against anaerobes

Oral:
Cefaclor (Ceclor)
Cefprozil
Gram + cocci. Extended Gram - activity. NOT effective against Pseudomonas. Used for otitis media, pharyngitis, and sinus, skin, and respiratory infxns.

Parenteral:
Cefazolin (Kefzol)
Surgical prophylaxis and for tx of skin/soft tissue infxns caused by Staph or Strep.
2nd
Oral or Parenteral:
Cefuroxime
Gram + cocci. Extended Gram - activity. NOT effective against Pseudomonas. Used for otitis media, pharyngitis, and sinus, skin, and respiratory infxns.
Single dose for N. gonorrhoeae.

Cefoxitin
Cefotetan
Gram + cocci. Extended Gram - activity. NOT effective against Pseudomonas. Used for otitis media, pharyngitis, and sinus, skin, and respiratory infxns.

Ceftriaxone (Rocephin) Cefotaxime Ceftazidime (Fortaz) Ceftizoxime Cefepime
Gram - bacilli (resistant to other cephalosporins, penicillins, aminoglycosides). Variable efficacy against Pseudomonads. Gram + cocci (incl. Staph and nonenteric Strep)

Ceftibuten
Cefpodoxime
Cefdinir
Cefditorin
