Systematically review the organizations culture, climate, and practice from the perspective of diverse stakeholders to include barrier analysis.
Exploration
Deploy targeted and ongoing training and professional development to build on the strengths and address the challenges identified through the assessment phase.
Transformation
Introduce fundamental change to people, procedures, policy, culture, and climate to better address the needs of a diverse workforce and customer base.
Revitalization
Pursue continuous renewal of the organization’s commitment to diversity leadership as a distinctive competence and stragtegic imperative.
What is a Barrier Analysis?
An investigation of anamolies found in workplace policies, procedures, and practices that limit or tend to limit employment opportunities for individuals based on any of the characteristics, experiences, and abilities found in definition of Air Force diversity.
Fostering Inclusive Environments
Encourage relationships based on building trust and respect, Support members through challenging tasks and develop them as part of the team, Encourage individuals to give their thoughts and opinions and utilize their talents
Striking the right balance
Building relationships between individuals and institutions, Align individuals’ needs with organization’s culture and needs, Support and provide opportunities for members to nuture their cultural and individual differences.
