Add sodium carbonate and invert
When fizzing stops remove lower layer and discard
Add distilled water to funnel, shake, and remove lower layer again
Add spatula of anhydrous calcium sulfate
Swirl until liquid is clear
Decant
Redistill liquid for further purification
