What is the min. distance you should keep when flying your drone near property or people?

A

It’s best to avoid flying or hovering directly over them, but you should never fly closer than 50m to people. An exception of 30m is given whem taking off or landing.

The same goes for buildings unless you have gotten permission from the people who own the property

  • If you want to fly at different heights or distances to the ones in the CAA code, you’ll need permission from the CAA
  • If you want to fly closer to or over a built up area, you need permission from the CAA
  • If you want to fly to make money or for any kind of payment you need permission from the CAA.
