How do you manage DIC?
A
If platelets <30x10^9/L and +/- bleeding:
- One bag of platelets (20x10^9/L)
- May need multiple
Fresh frozen plasma:
- To replace stores of clotting factors
Cryoprecipitate:
- Source of fibrinogen - used to replace when levels fall
