Similar to mediation - a formal negotiation process overseen by an independent mediator

An independent “go between” between the parties, providing a service from your respectability and parties will meet should you ask
What is an arbitration?
A non-institutional Court style proceedure where parties agree to have the outcome of the dispute resolved by a third party

When a court makes the decision

NOPE - states must consent in one form of another to opting into the jurisdiction of the ICJ and they can opt in with reservations
