- Best contrast ratio
- Viewing angles not as good as IPS
- Response times worse than TN

- Each pixel is generated by separate LED
- Does not require backlight like TFT panels
- Thinner, lighter, consumes less power
- Can be curved
- The maximum brightness might be lower than with LCDs
