Potential complications of Hep C in pregnancy
A
Gestational diabetes, cholestasis of pregnancy, preterm delivery

How can you prevent vertical transmission of Hep C?
A
Vertical transmission is strongly associated wit maternal VIRAL LOAD. C-sections are not protective. Scalp electrodes should be avoided. Breast feeding should be ENCOURAGED unless maternal blood is present, such as in nipple injury.
