PE MI DVT Stroke Top part of the heart(atria) is not pumping properly equivalent to the bottom so blood is pulling and just sitting there causing risks for the above

Dumping syndrome
No sweets, low fiber, small several meals, fats and protein with each meal, lie down after eating, wait one hour after eating before fluids and one hour before
Impetigo
Causes staph infection, keep at home 24 hours, antibiotics, wash hands
Detached retina
Can reoccur, watch movements, sleep prone position, don’t strain eyes or to have BM, no washing of hair bc is jarring of head and can cause increased ICP
Otitis media in a child
Risk for infection and meningitis so needs to be observed for headache, stiff neck and increased temp
Pyloric stenosis
Elevate HOB 60 degrees
DI
Can be caused by head injury
SIADH
Completely opposite of DI
Addison’s disease
Decrease in 3 S’s
- Sodium-(h20)-hypovolemic-decrease BP
- Sugar-glucose-s/s hypoglycemia
- Steroid- decrease cortisol and aldosterone
Crohn’s disease
Low fiber, high protein, no fresh fruits or vegetables
