What is a sagittal or longitudinal plane cut?
A vertical slice that separates the body into sides (right and left)
What is a midline or midsagittal or median cut.
A vertical slice that separates the body exactly into right and left halves.
What is a horizontal or axial or transverse plane cut?
A cut on the horizontal axis.
What is a frontal or coronal plane cut?
Vertical slice that separates the body from front to back.
