A

Describe how OMR works

A

A template is loaded onto the computer
A value is assigned to each lozenge
The scanner shines light onto the form and shows the position of each lozenge
The position is compared to the template and if the positon on the form and the positon on the paper are the same, the answer is marked correct

A

It’s very fast at marking papers
Less errors are made
Much cheaper in the long run than hiring someone to mark multiple choice papers
