A

1: Mouth- food is partially broken down by chewing with the chemical action of salivary enzymes
2: Oesophagus- this uses peristalsis to force food from the throat into the stomach.
3: Stomach- churns food and bathes it in gastric acid, now this is chyme.
4: small intestine- the food enters through the duodenum, then the jejunum. Bile, pancreatic enzymes and digestive enzymes help breakdown the food.
5: Large intestine- water and electrolytes are removed from food microbes help the digestion process. First the food goes through the cecum, ascending colon, abdomen in transverse colon, descending colon and then through the sigmoid colon.
6: End- Solid waste is stored in rectum until exerted by anus.
