Which part of the digestive system contains hydrochloric acids and what another it can be named?
It is found in the stomach and can be called a gastric acid.

In the liver
Where are villi found?
In the small intestines
Where is faeces stored and where is it excreted from the body?
it is stored in the rectum and excreted from the anus
What does the stomach do?
it stores food for up to 6hours, breaks down the food mechanically (muscles) and chemically (hydrochloric acid).
What juices does the pancreas, liver and gall bladder release and what are they for?
They release bile and enzymes to help absorb nutrients.
What do the villi do?
They absorb liquid food in the small intestine.
What are the organs in the digestive system?
The mouth, salivary glands, oesophagus, stomach, liver, gall bladder, pancreas, large intestines, rectum, anus and small intestines.
Write the order of the organs in the digestive tract.
Mouth, oesophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, large intestine, rectum, anus.
What is the difference between the digestive tract and the digestive system?
The digestive tract is the pathway that the food travel in the body whereas the digestive system is made up of ALL of the organs that help in the process of digestion.
What is the peristalsis?
It is the contraction and relaxation of the muscles from the oesophagus to push food down to the stomach.
