what is the anus do?
the opening at the end of the body which waste leaves your body.
what does an oesophagus do?
the long tube between the mouth and stomach.
what does the gallbladder do?
the small sac below the liver. It stores and releases bile into the small intestine.
what does the large intestine do?
the shorter wider tube that follows the small intestine.
what does the liver do?
a large organ which makes bile that neutralises the stomach acid.
what does the mouth do?
the first part of the digestive system
what does the pancreas do?
a gland below the stomach which makes lots of chemicals called enzymes the help break down food.
what does the rectum do?
the lower part of the large intestine, where waste is stored before it leaves the body.
what does the small intestine do?
the long, thin winding tube that food goes through after it leaves the stomach.
what does the stomach do?
a sack-like muscular organ that is attached to the oesophagus. when the food enters the stomach, it churns with lots of food.
