How are food molecules digested?
They are broken down into small molecules by enzymes.
How is starch digested?
The food is chewed in the mouth then enzymes in saliva digest into smaller molecules.

The oesophagus
Where does food travel to from the oesophagus?
The stomach
What acid is contained in the stomach?
Hydrochloric acid
How is food turned into fluid in the stomach?
The churning action of the stomach muscles.
