A

MECHANICAL: cornfield, licking, protects deep struct)

  • Filiform: smallest, dorsal surf
  • Conical (fe: dorsal superficial, ox: basis of tongue)
  • Marginal (newborn car and piglets:sucling)

GUSTATORY: taste and tastebuds

  • Fungiform: all dorsal surf
  • Vallate: at dorsal root (ca=22, Eq=21, ru=2*10-15)
  • Foliate: lateral, NOT ru+ca
