Q

What do the accessory organs do

A

The liver produces bile in the stomach. The gallbladder stores this bile. The pancreas produces all three enzymes in the small intestine protease amylase lipase

Q

What are the two things that bile does

A

Bile emulsifies fat meaning it makes them into tiny droplets which give the lipase more surface area to work on in the stomach. Bile also neutralizes the stomach because the stomach can get too acidic. This solution goes to the small intestine in which the enzymes require an alkali solution to work best
