What is the difference between macro and micro nutrients?
A
Micro must be taken in in a small amount per day like mg, whereas macro in a large quantity, like grams.

Describe the nutrient intake level chart.
A
- Estimated average requirement exists near the left end and is level where intake is inadequate for 50% of healthy individuals.
- Recommended dietary allowance is where intake level would meet the requirement of 97.5% of healthy individuals.
- Tolerable upper intake level is the highest dose with which no risk of adverse effects would arise.
- Adequate intake exists on a spectrum from before RDA to after, and is experimentally determined intake level for groups that RDA cannot be determined for, such as infants.
