Diesel Engine Fuel Injection Flashcards
1
Q
What is a common rail system?
A
It’s mainly in the diesel engine. Common rail direct fuel injection is a direct fuel injection system built around a high-pressure (2000 bar or 200 MPa) fuel rail feeding solenoid valves, it provides high pressure to the injection.
2
Q
What is a accumulator in Common rail system?
A
In accumulator high pressure fuel is stored so fuel with constant pressure is available at any time.
3
Q
Why is feed pump used In diesel injection
A
To feed fuel to the common rail system
